Before You Build, Is the Business Ready to Launch?
Many owners start with a platform or theme. The more important question comes first: is the business model ready to become an operational online store?
Who is the customer? What will they buy and why? How will they pay and receive the order? Who owns inventory, support, and returns? Which metrics will reveal progress or a problem?
A store may look complete yet fail on its first order because product information is missing, shipping is unclear, payment is not ready, or no one owns fulfilment. Rasaa by HighSource therefore treats ecommerce as a complete sales and operating journey, not merely a storefront.
Rasaa helps businesses plan, build, test, and hand over stores on a suitable platform such as Salla or Zid, with optional ongoing support under an agreed scope.
What Is Needed Before Launch?
The business needs approved products, prices, specifications and images; a category and inventory structure; fulfilment and service processes; payment and shipping choices; business policies; brand assets; account access; and a client-side approver.
Rasaa reviews readiness, separates launch essentials from later enhancements, and converts the requirement into a plan with deliverables, approvals, and external dependencies.
Practical Pre-Launch Test
For a Saudi personal-care store, a test order should cover:
| Area | Review | Ready when |
| Discovery | Navigation, categories, search | A product is easy to find |
| Product page | Images, price, options, stock, copy | The offer is understood |
| Checkout | Quantity, address, payment | A test order completes |
| Shipping | Coverage, cost, displayed information | A clear option appears |
| Notifications | Confirmation and alerts | Correct details arrive |
| Operations | Order status and inventory | Staff can process the order |
| Mobile | Controls and forms | The journey works on a phone |
| Analytics | Visits, cart, checkout, purchase | Core events are recorded |
A failed payment, incorrect stock status, or missing confirmation is a launch blocker, not a cosmetic issue.
What Does Rasaa Deliver?
Rasaa organizes the store structure and customer journey, configures an appropriate theme, prepares agreed product content, supports approved integrations, tests the order flow, and hands the store over with agreed training.
Salla officially presents ecommerce capabilities across payments, shipping, and marketing, while Zid presents tools for products, orders, payment, and design. Current features, prices, and eligibility should be checked with Salla and Zid at contracting.
The product quantity is defined in the approved commercial proposal after reviewing data, images, variants, and copy requirements. No universal quantity is promised.
For regulatory readiness, the Saudi Ministry of Commerce publishes the E-Commerce Law and Implementing Regulations and an official ecommerce-store guide. The owner approves business information and policies and obtains legal advice where required; store setup is not legal counsel.
The Saudi Business Center provides an official E-Commerce Authentication service. The business owns the application and approvals. Rasaa may support requirement preparation when included, but cannot guarantee the authority’s decision.
What Is Measured After Launch?
Useful indicators may include product views, add-to-cart activity, checkout starts, completed orders, conversion rate, payment failures, cancellations, order-processing time, returns, and recurring customer issues.
Strong product views with weak cart activity point toward the offer, imagery, copy, pricing, stock, or trust signals. Healthy cart activity with poor completion shifts attention to checkout, payment, shipping, and forms. Completed orders with slow fulfilment indicate an operational issue.
What Does the Client Receive?
Depending on scope, deliverables may include a requirements summary, store map, configured store, agreed products and content, integration-status list, pre-launch test log, handover, training guide, and post-launch report.
The approved proposal and contract define the schedule, product quantity, review rounds, training or consultation scope, and external fees. Timing starts after required assets, access, and approvals are complete and remains subject to third parties.
Rasaa does not guarantee a specific sales result. Performance depends on product, price, demand, stock, marketing, customer experience, and operations.
